The Western Zone Premier League competition will have a slightly different look to it this season.

Matches will only be played on Sundays with just the 2 rounds to be played prior to the Country Championships. Changes have been made to the draw to ensure all matches are relevant, particularly for after the Zone team has been selected for the Country Championships.

The Western Zone T20 Bash on 27 October will make up the 3rd Sunday of representative cricket prior to the Western Zone team being named for the Plan B Country Bash and McDonalds Country Championships.

With the Country Championships scheduled for 14-17 November, the first round of Premier League will be played on the opening weekend of our season. Round 2 is scheduled for the following Sunday, with the 2 winners from round 1 to meet and the two losing teams from round 1 to also play each other.

The 3rd Round, which is effectively the Semi Final is scheduled for 15 December with the final set down for 19 January.

The full draw is:

Round 1 – 13 October

Match 1 - Bathurst v Dubbo

Match 2 - Orange v Parkes

Round 2 – 20 October

Match 3 - winner of match 1 v winner of match 2 (home team refer below)

Match 4 - loser of match 1 v loser of match 2 (home team refer below)

Round 2 matches will be EITHER Dubbo v Orange & Parkes v Bathurst OR Dubbo v Parkes & Bathurst v Orange

Round 3 (Semi Final) – 15 December

Match 5 - Loser of match 3 v winner of match 4 (home team refer below)

Round 4 (Final) – 19 January

Match 6 - winner of match 3 v winner of match 5 (home team winner of match 3)

Home teams for Rounds 2 and 3 will be determined as follows:

• If teams haven’t already played this season, by the reverse of last season’s round fixture (i.e. Dubbo v Orange, Parkes v Bathurst, Dubbo v Parkes, Bathurst v Orange)

• If teams have already played this season, by the reverse of that fixture
